About Us
RTR Putters is the creation of Robert Singletary, Tim Brantley, and Rick Wright. In 1996, Rick and Robert, along with former partner and premier putter maker Kirk Currie, created the first putter fitting system in the golf industry. Licensed to Slazenger Golf back in 1997 the fitting system was established in over 1,200 green grass facilities. The system was designed to custom fit a golfer for shaft length, lie angle, degree of hosel offset/onset, degree of putter balance (toe/heel heavy and face balanced), putter face loft, shaft length, and grip preference, all done with various model designs. The putter was built to spec on the spot, on the green, and tweaked to perfection. Variable head weighting and grip weighting was introduced a couple of years later in the program.
The RTR Putting Experience
The RTR Experience addresses Feed and Speed skills with the end objective of creating a custom fitting (ala the original fitting system) to an RTR putter. Its basically a putting lesson + putter fitting. Establish a simple motion with accuracy and an intuitive feel for speed/distance through effective block and representative practice and your Reading skills and performance will significantly improve. Our primary objective of assessing an individual's putting motion is simplification. After all, the putting motion is quite simple. Disadvantageous posture, poor alignment, and the clutter in the brain are the attributes that complicate the motion. Check out the video below.

We didn't break the mold when Robert Singletary designed our putter. The RTR putter is all about customization.
The putter is comprised of a:
The magic is in the 303 stainless steel hosel, which can be bent for:
The putter head is CNC milled from a billet of 12L14 leaded, free machining carbon steel known for its precision and close tolerances. The carbon steel we use gives the putter a quality feel and sound. The putter is then given a PVD coating, or physical vapor deposition. PVD is a thin coating technique which enhances appearance, durability, and functionality; it is top tier.
The putter has a milled-patterned friction face for an enhanced soft feel and sound.
The putter is equipped with an extruded seamless Oban steel shaft, cut to your custom length.
The putter is then completed with your preferred grip and RTR head cover on the spot. Test drive it, and if necessary, we can tweak the hosel to perfection.
We did our best to produce a high quality product. But again, the magic is in the RTR Experience; the personalization. We want to impact your performance in a positive way.
